Warmest Congratulations on the Successful Conclusion of the Inaugural ''Ulupure Cup'' Amateur Go Tournament

On May 13th, the inaugural "Ulupure Cup" Amateur Go Tournament, hosted by the Chengdu Pidu District Go Association and sponsored and co-organized by Chengdu Ulupure Group, successfully concluded after two days and six rounds of intense competition.

The inaugural "Ulupure Cup" Go Tournament, inspired by the slogan "Who will be the new Go King of Chengdu after Tang Xiaohong (7-dan)?", saw Li Ping of the Dayi team win the championship, Li Deping (5-dan) of the Pengzhou team take second place, and Long Lin (6-dan) of the Pidu District team win third place. The fourth to sixth place individual winners were Hu Quan (5-dan) of the Ulupure team, Yang Wencong (6-dan) of the Tianfu New Area team, and Ke Hongxing (6-dan) of the Ulupure team. The first place team was won by the Xindu District team, followed by the second to sixth place teams from Longquanyi District, Ulupure, Tianfu New Area, Jinniu District, and Pidu District.

The Go tournament received strong support from the Chengdu and Pidu District Go Associations. The Vice Chairman of the Chengdu Go Association, the Deputy Director of the Pidu District People's Congress, the Director of the District Sports Center, the Secretary-General of the District Sports Federation, and the President of the District Go Association attended the opening and closing ceremonies, delivered speeches, and presented awards. The event also attracted media attention, with interviews and reports from the West China Metropolis Daily, Chengdu Cover News, and Pidu District Television.

The Go tournament, held at the Chengdu Shanhai International Hotel, attracted numerous amateur Go masters due to its grand scale, high-standard competition venue, and meticulous logistical support. Among the players from various industries were four 6-dan players and one 7-dan player. Tang Xiaohong (7-dan), the Go King of Sichuan, served as the chief referee at the invitation of Chairman Zhan Wei.

The Ulupure team achieved excellent results this season. Led by Group Chairman Zhan Wei, and composed of shareholders and senior advisors, the Ulupure team not only won third place in the team competition, but two members also successfully entered the top six.

At the opening ceremony of the first "Ulupure Cup" Go Tournament, Chairman Zhan Wei stated that starting with this inaugural event, the "Ulupure Cup" Go Tournament will continue to be held, becoming a high-quality event. As a public welfare brand of Ulupure, it will promote the vigorous development of folk Go through practical actions and contribute to the promotion of national cultural excellence!
