Type III RO Water Systems offer reliable daily production at 25°C, with temperature-sensitive output (↓3% per °C), ideal for labs using purified water, and support optional microfiltration for ultra-pure applications.
Ultra-pure water system consumables mainly include pre-filters, reverse osmosis (RO) membranes, and post-ion exchange columns. Pre-filters, composed of PP cartridges and activated carbon, remove residual chlorine and organic contaminants, with replacement every 3–6 months. RO membranes, with extremely small pores, are prone to fouling and require regular backwashing; when not in use, the system should be run periodically to prevent bacterial growth. Replacement is recommended every 18–24 months, depending on water usage and feed water quality. The ion exchange column further desalts RO water via ion exchange. Its lifespan is monitored online by resistivity; when resistivity drops below a set threshold, the column is exhausted. Typically, one column can produce about 1 ton of ultrapure water (feed water resistivity ~15 μS/cm).
