Water Treatment Methods and Principles: Distillation

    Distillation is an old but effective water treatment method that can remove any non-volatile impurities, but it cannot remove volatile pollutants. It requires a large storage tank, and this storage tank and delivery pipes are major causes of contamination. Currently, water used for hemodialysis is not treated in this way.
