Currently, imported ultrapure water systems can be broadly categorized into two types based on their water source: those using tap water as the source and those using distilled water (such as Milli-Q). Over 90% of the models installed and used in China are of the distilled water (deionized water) type. Customers who have invested in imported ultrapure water systems with distilled water as the source still need to either produce their own distilled water or purchase it externally, which is quite inconvenient.
Our company's UPT quantitative analysis ultrapure water system is adaptable to all tap water qualities in China, offering comprehensive solutions. Using tap water as the source, it simultaneously produces RO pure water (conductivity 1-5μs) and UP ultrapure water (resistivity 10-16 MΩ.cm). This not only meets the water needs of most experimental projects but can also serve as a pre-treatment unit for imported ultrapure water systems that use distilled water as the feed water. Combined, they form a complete laboratory pure/ultrapure water preparation system. This combined system has the following significant advantages:
1. Simultaneous preparation of three types of pure water using tap water as the source, fully meeting the water needs of different experimental projects.
Separate water | Water quality | Scope of application |
RO pure water | Electrical conductivity 1–5 μ/cm (can be monitored online) | Used for rinsing utensils, etc. |
UP Ultrapure Water | Resistivity 10–16 MΩ·cm (Online monitoring possible) | Used for routine physicochemical analysis, plant and animal cell culture, and preparation of buffer solutions for instrumental analysis. |
Imported ultrapure water system with distilled water inlet | Resistivity 18.2 MΩ·cm Heat source <0.001 EU/ml TOC <5 ppb | Used for highly sensitive molecular biology experiments such as IVF/DNA/RNA, which are particularly susceptible to water quality influences. |
II. Compared to purchasing a complete imported ultrapure water system using tap water as the source, this combined configuration (Ulupure UPT + imported ultrapure water system with distilled water feed) can reduce the purchase cost to below RMB 50,000.
III. Compared to imported ultrapure water systems using only distilled water feed, this combined configuration significantly reduces water consumption and the expensive costs of replacing imported purification columns and ultrafiltration columns.
IV. Compared to the previous method of self-producing and purchasing distilled water, this configuration improves work efficiency, reduces labor intensity, and provides greater convenience for users.
