Ultrapure Water System Troubleshooting Guide: Analysis of the Causes of Water Leakage in Ultrapure Water Systems

    What to do if your ultrapure water system is leaking? This article mainly introduces troubleshooting for leaking ultrapure water systems, the causes of leaks, and related installation and maintenance precautions.


    Leaks are inevitable during the use of ultrapure water systems. How should this be resolved?


    Troubleshooting for Leaks:

    1. Ultrapure water systems have various pipelines connected in the water purification process. First, check if the internal pipelines are normal. If a leak is suspected, use two small waterproof rubber rings, wrapping a suitable amount of Teflon tape inside these rings.


    2. Check the ultrapure water system pipelines and straighten them.


    Check the ultrapure water system power supply. Connect the ultrapure water system to 220V AC power. If the input power is normal, check the transformer output voltage.


    Check if the high-voltage switch or float switch is malfunctioning and unable to trip.


    Check the inlet solenoid valve for proper function. 1. Unscrew the solenoid valve outlet, connect the power supply, and check if water flows. If no water flows, open the raw water ball valve.


    2. Check if the raw water ball valve is functioning properly and observe if the booster pump reaches the standard pressure. If the pressure is too low (below 0.3 MPa), it needs to be replaced.


    3. Check if the pre-filter of the reverse osmosis membrane is clogged. If clogged, replace it. If water flows, the solenoid valve is damaged.


    4. Open the reverse osmosis membrane pure water outlet. If no water flows, the reverse osmosis membrane is damaged.


    5. Check if the wastewater discharge is too high, causing an imbalance in the pure water/wastewater ratio.


    6. Check if the post-activated carbon filter is clogged. 4. Diagnosing Faults Using the Water Purifier Indicator:


    If the water purifier indicator doesn't turn red after running water from the faucet for a while, and the machine doesn't work, it indicates a circuit board malfunction.


    If the water purifier indicator turns red after running water from the faucet for a while, but the machine doesn't start, it indicates insufficient water pressure, a damaged transformer, or a loose circuit connector.


    If the water purifier indicator turns green, but the machine still works, it indicates the pressure tank is not full, the pressure tank is full but the high-pressure switch is broken, the check valve is broken, or there is a leak at the water connection.


    If the water purifier indicator is red, and the machine works for a while but the faucet still lacks water, it indicates a clogged filter or a damaged solenoid valve. After ruling out other faults, check if the machine is working properly. Finally, check if the reverse osmosis membrane is clogged, clean it, and check if it has reached its replacement date.


    Causes of Leakage:


    1. High pressure from the booster pump;


    2. Loose internal pipe connections or faulty sealing rings;


    3. Problems with the membrane housing during reverse osmosis membrane repair and replacement.
