The 2017 Chengdu Global Innovation and Entrepreneurship Fair, themed ''Gathering Wisdom, Embracing Innovation, Openness, and Sharing'' Was Held. Yin Li Attended and Delivered a Speech

The 2017 Chengdu Global Innovation and Entrepreneurship Fair, themed "Gathering Wisdom for Innovation, Openness and Sharing," opened in Chengdu on May 10th. Yin Li, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Governor of Sichuan Province, attended the fair and delivered a speech.

This is the third consecutive Chengdu Global Innovation and Entrepreneurship Fair. More than 1,200 representatives from 47 countries and regions, representing the entire innovation and entrepreneurship chain, including domestic and international business organizations, leading entrepreneurial cities worldwide, internationally renowned innovation and entrepreneurship universities, prominent investment institutions, and top-tier incubators, gathered in Chengdu to promote the convergence, integration, and connection of global innovation and entrepreneurship resources, and to facilitate the flow of innovation and entrepreneurship elements and the trading of results. The fair will last for three days, featuring 53 events, including 21 high-level international conferences on innovation and entrepreneurship to discuss global trends; one exhibition showcasing the latest global scientific and technological achievements; four innovation and entrepreneurship resource transactions to promote the flow of capital, talent, and other innovation and entrepreneurship elements; and eight innovation and entrepreneurship competitions to facilitate effective connections between innovation and entrepreneurship projects and market capital.

Yin Li, on behalf of the Sichuan Provincial Government, welcomed the participating guests. He stated that in today's world, a new round of technological revolution and industrial transformation is in full swing, interacting and influencing each other. The burgeoning innovation and entrepreneurship are profoundly changing the global economic landscape and reshaping the international competitive order. In this era of rapid change, only innovators advance, only innovators are strong, and only innovators prevail. We must seize development opportunities, accelerate the formation of a new landscape of mass entrepreneurship and innovation, promote the unleashing of development momentum and vitality, and continuously boost and lead economic and social development. Under the new circumstances, Sichuan is implementing the national innovation-driven development strategy, solidly advancing the "No. 1 Project" of comprehensive innovation and reform, and adhering to the "dual-wheel drive" of technological innovation and institutional innovation. It is accelerating its transformation from a major science and technology province to a strong science and technology province, and is rapidly becoming a national pioneer province in innovation-driven development.
