The Units of Resistivity and Conductivity in a Pure Water Machine

Table of Content [Hide]

Electrical conductivity is the ability of a solution to conduct electric current, expressed numerically. In the International System of Units (SI), the unit of conductivity is Siemens per meter (S/m).

Resistivity is a physical quantity used to express the resistive properties of various materials. In the SI, the unit of resistivity is the ohm-meter (Ω·m).

Note: The physical meaning of conductivity is to represent the ability of a material to conduct electricity. The higher the conductivity, the stronger the conductivity, and vice versa. Conductivity is the reciprocal of resistance, and conductivity is the reciprocal of resistivity. The higher the conductivity, the lower the resistivity.

The lower the conductivity and the higher the resistivity, the better the quality of the water output from the ultrapure water system.
