    I. Testing Methods for Ultrapure Water Systems


    The testing methods for ultrapure water systems mainly include the detection of resistivity, total organic carbon (TOC), total bacterial count, and particulate count. The following are the testing methods for common indicators:


    1. Resistivity: Detected using a resistivity meter, generally requiring a resistivity greater than 18 MΩ·cm (25℃).


    2. TOC: Detected using a TOC analyzer, generally requiring a TOC less than 50 ppb.


    3. Total Bacterial Count: Detected using a bacterial culture and counting method, generally requiring less than 1 bacterium per milliliter of water.


    4. Particulate Count: Detected using a laser particle counter, generally requiring less than 1 particle per milliliter of water.


    II. Common Problems with Ultrapure Water Systems


    Some common problems may occur during the use of ultrapure water systems:


    1. Substandard water quality: This may be caused by incomplete pretreatment, ion exchange failure, etc. The operation of the pretreatment equipment and ion exchanger should be checked, and timely cleaning and maintenance should be performed.


    2. System leakage: This may be caused by poor sealing at equipment connections or pipe ruptures. Equipment connections and pipes should be inspected and addressed promptly.
