Currently, ultrapure water systems are commonly used in laboratories and the medical industry. Conductivity is one of the key parameters for measuring the quality of ultrapure water output from these systems. An increase in conductivity during operation is usually abnormal. What might cause this increase?
1. First, we need to check the raw water source. If the conductivity of the raw water changes, adjust its conductivity and observe whether it returns to normal.
2. Check for problems with the pretreatment process, especially whether activated carbon powder has leaked into the resin tank and contaminated the resin.

3. High conductivity can also be caused by fouling and blockage of the RO reverse osmosis membrane in an ultrapure water system. If the blockage is due to fouling, the RO membrane of the ultrapure water system can be cleaned according to the cleaning requirements, and the conductivity of the reverse osmosis membrane can be restored. It is worth noting that we should also pay attention to whether the RO membrane has been used for too long; if so, it should be replaced in time to ensure the quality of the output water.
4. A decrease in the desalination rate of an ultrapure water system may also lead to an increase in the conductivity of the ultrapure water system. We need to check the reverse osmosis membrane assembly; if there is a problem, we only need to replace it. If it was normal before, and the conductivity suddenly increases and the displacement increases, this is likely due to a leak in the sealing ring connected to the reverse osmosis membrane assembly; try replacing the sealing ring.
5. Operational issues, such as sudden shutdowns or improper operation.
Besides the above reasons, the conductivity of an ultrapure water system may also be affected by other factors. When it is unclear, after-sales personnel should be contacted for a comprehensive inspection of the equipment.
