Introduction: On July 26th, the Ministry of Environmental Protection of China, in order to implement the "Environmental Protection Law of the People's Republic of China," actively protect the environment, and standardize environmental monitoring work, issued an announcement on six national environmental protection standards, including "Determination of Nitrosamine Compounds in Water by Gas Chromatography." This announcement provides clear new standards for water quality monitoring and solid waste source detection, while accelerating the pace of ecological civilization construction in my country.
Currently, my country's main environmental pollution problems include air pollution, water pollution, and soil pollution. Air and water are indispensable for human survival, and their quality determines the quality of human living conditions. Due to rapid industrialization, the level of urban construction has become one of the standards for testing national strength, directly leading many countries to concentrate their efforts on developing large amounts of ecological resources while neglecting the environmental damage caused by excessive pursuit of development speed, resulting in increasingly prominent air, water, and soil pollution problems. my country also experienced a detour in urbanization, but after proposing the sustainable development strategy, my country immediately adjusted its strategic measures, carrying out environmental governance and urban construction simultaneously. To ensure that environmental standards conform to the dynamics of modern society, timely revision of new environmental standards is urgently needed.
Recently, the Ministry of Environmental Protection issued an announcement regarding six national environmental protection standards, including "Determination of Soil Electrical Conductivity by Electrode Method," which clearly stipulates relevant standards for soil and water quality testing. This latest announcement of six national environmental protection standards, including "Determination of Nitrosamine Compounds in Water by Gas Chromatography," provides a new framework for water quality monitoring and solid waste source detection, and imposes strict requirements on testing instruments and equipment.
The standards and their numbers are as follows:
I. Determination of Nitrosamines in Water by Gas Chromatography (HJ809-2016);
II. Determination of Volatile Organic Compounds in Water by Headspace/Gas Chromatography-Mass Spectrometry (HJ810-2016);
III. Determination of Total Selenium in Water by Spectrophotometry with 3,3-Diaminobenzidine (HJ811-2016);
IV. Determination of Soluble Cations (Li, Na, NH4, K, Ca2+, Mg2+) in Water by Ion Chromatography (HJ812-2016);
V. Determination of Inorganic Anions (F-, Cl-, NO2-, Br-, NO3-, PO43-, SO32-, SO42-) in Water by Ion Chromatography (HJ84-2016);
VI. Determination of Arsenic in Exhaust Gas from Stationary Sources by Silver Diethyldithiocarbamate Spectrophotometric Method (HJ540-2016).
The new guidelines for water quality testing instruments and solid waste source testing instruments issued by the Ministry of Environmental Protection will help establish unified standards, regulate my country's testing instrument market, and provide strong support for the comprehensive development of my country's environmental monitoring industry. In the future, my country will continue its sustainable development strategy, accelerate the pace of introducing new policies, and strive to ensure that environmental protection and socio-economic development go hand in hand, creating a comprehensive social development plan that suits my country's national conditions.
