I. Precautions for Using the Reverse Osmosis Unit
After the unit is installed and commissioned, and put into normal operation, the following precautions should be taken during subsequent use:
1. Do not allow water shortage.
2. For three-phase power supply units, do not lose a phase.
3. Perform backflushing regularly to keep the pipeline unobstructed.
4. Disinfect the pipeline regularly.
5. Strictly follow the operating procedures.
6. Drain the water from the unit after each use. Pay attention to keeping it warm in winter. The indoor temperature of the unit should not be lower than 3 degrees Celsius, as freezing can damage the RO membrane.
7. Disconnect the power supply to the unit after use.
II. Operating Procedures (First Stage Reverse Osmosis)
1. Turn on the unit power and check that the pressure regulating valve is fully open.
2. Open the inlet valve and check that the high-pressure pump is not turned on if the low-pressure gauge does not reach the normal operating pressure. (Generally, the pressure should be greater than 0.2 MPa.)
3. Power on the high-pressure pump. After it is running normally, adjust the pressure regulating valve to the working pressure.
4. During the water production process, operators must not leave the unit for extended periods. Closely monitor the water supply.
III. Operating Procedures (Secondary Reverse Osmosis)
1. Adjust the primary water production process to normal according to the operating procedures of the primary reverse osmosis unit.
2. After the primary water production is normal, adjust the pressure regulating valve of the secondary water production unit to the working pressure.
3. When shutting down, shut down the secondary unit first, then shut down the primary unit.
4. After operation, backwash the unit.
