A New Method for Treating Dyeing and Printing Wastewater Using Nano-Membrane Filtration Technology

Table of Content [Hide]

India has developed a new technology to reduce pollution from reactive dye emissions—nanofiltration technology. Utilizing the principle of reverse osmosis, nanofiltration can remove impurities with a molecular weight of 200-300 from wastewater and separate hydrolyzed reactive dyes from a salt solution, which can then be recycled for subsequent dyeing, thus reducing the burden on wastewater treatment. Although the investment cost for large-scale application of nanofiltration technology in wastewater treatment is substantial, this project is expected to recoup its investment within two years.
