Analysis of the Treatment Steps of Ultrapure Water Equipment

Table of Content [Hide]

Ultrapure water equipment is a system that integrates the advantages of various technologies. It produces stable, high-quality water without wastewater or chemical pollution, thus promoting water conservation and environmental protection. It represents a green revolution in water treatment technology. Today, we'll analyze the treatment steps of ultrapure water equipment to give you a more comprehensive understanding of it.

Analysis of the Treatment Steps of Ultrapure Water Equipment

    1. Raw Water: Tap water, distilled water, or deionized water can be used as raw water.

    2. Pretreatment: Mechanical impurities such as rust and other suspended solids are removed through sand core filter plates and fiber columns. The Up-Millq (ultra-pure) water purifier's pretreatment device effectively removes large particles such as sediment and rust from tap water, and adsorbs residual chlorine and colloids, making it a superior pretreatment device.

    3. Activated Carbon Filtration: Activated carbon is a broad-spectrum adsorbent that can adsorb gaseous components, such as residual chlorine in water, as well as bacteria and certain transition metals. Chlorine can damage reverse osmosis membranes, so it should be removed as completely as possible.

    4. Reverse Osmosis Membrane Filtration: This filter removes over 95% of electrolytes and large molecular compounds, including colloidal particles and viruses. The removal of most ions significantly extends the lifespan of the ion exchange column.

    5. Ultraviolet Digestion: Short-wave (180nm-254nm) ultraviolet light is used to decompose small organic compounds in water that are not easily adsorbed by activated carbon, such as methanol and ethanol, converting them into CO2 and water, thereby reducing the TOC (Total Organic Carbon) level.

    6. Ion Exchange Unit: Mixed ion exchange beds are known to be the decisive method for removing ions from water. Obtaining ultrapure water using multi-stage mixed beds is not difficult. However, the TOC level of water mainly comes from the resin bed.

The treatment steps of ultrapure water equipment mainly consist of the above methods. Proper use of ultrapure water equipment can effectively reduce operating costs.
