What are the reasons why a laboratory ultrapure water system might not produce water? Laboratory ultrapure water systems are increasingly widely used, but users often encounter malfunctions where the machine stops producing water. So, what are the possible causes of abnormal water output from a laboratory ultrapure water system?
I. Insufficient Water Production
1. The reverse osmosis membrane may be clogged. Replace the reverse osmosis membrane.
2. The water supply may be insufficient. Improve the water supply or replace the pretreatment filter cartridge.
3. The booster pump may be damaged. Replace the booster pump.
4. Poor quality of the tertiary product water: The reverse osmosis membrane may be damaged. Replace the reverse osmosis membrane.
II. The system is not producing water
1. The tap water may not be turned on or the water pressure may be insufficient. The system will sound an alarm. Turn on the tap water or short-circuit the low-pressure protection switch. Short-circuiting may cause the booster pump to run dry and damage it.
2. The pretreatment filter cartridge may be clogged, reducing water flow or causing no water to pass through. Replace the pretreatment filter cartridge.
3. The low-pressure protection switch may be damaged and unable to close properly. Replace the low-pressure protection switch.
4. The high-pressure protection switch is damaged and cannot close normally. In this case, the full water indicator light will illuminate. Replace the high-pressure protection switch.
III. Low water intake in Stage I (III):
1. The ultrapure water column may be faulty. Replace the ultrapure water column.
2. The check valve on the circulation line may be damaged, causing water to flow out in the reverse direction through the circulation line instead of through the ultrapure water column.
3. Replace the check valve on the circulation line.
4. The water level in the pure water tank may be too low. Wait until the system is full before taking water.
5. The pressure in the pure water tank's air bladder may be too low or nonexistent. Re-inflate the pure water tank's air bladder.
IV. Other abnormalities
1. Abnormal system function: The system circuit may be damaged. Replace the circuit board.
2. No water output from the system: The system discharge solenoid valve may be damaged. Replace the system discharge solenoid valve.
3. No water output from the system flushing: The system flushing solenoid valve may be damaged. Replace the system flushing solenoid valve. 4. The system keeps producing water: The high-pressure protection switch is faulty and cannot disconnect properly, causing the water production indicator light to remain on. Replace the high-pressure protection switch.
5. The system switches between producing and filling water too frequently: This may be because the ball valve of the pure water tank is not open, preventing water storage. Open the ball valve of the pure water tank.
