    Activated carbon filters operate through a carbon bed. Furthermore, the non-crystalline portions of the activated carbon surface contain oxygen-containing energy groups, allowing organic pollutants in the water passing through the carbon bed to be effectively adsorbed. This filter is a commonly used water treatment device. As a pretreatment unit in water treatment desalination systems, it effectively ensures the service life of downstream equipment, improves effluent quality, and prevents contamination, especially preventing poisoning from free residual oxygen in downstream reverse osmosis membranes and ion exchange resins. Activated carbon filters have a significant removal capacity for organic matter, colloids, and pigments in water.
