When work and school resume, everyone will be back to their busy work and studies. The ultrapure water equipment in the laboratory, having been idle during the Spring Festival holiday, is at risk of internal contamination. To ensure water quality and reduce the probability of equipment contamination, what maintenance should we perform on the ultrapure water equipment after returning to work and school?
Turn on the inlet water source and the main power switch to allow the ultrapure water equipment to enter the cleaning process. If the equipment has an automatic flushing function, run the automatic flushing function 3-5 times repeatedly. If severe contamination is found, the water tank needs to be cleaned and disinfected separately.
After cleaning in step 1, check if the water quality displayed on the equipment is within the standard range, or take a certain amount of RO water for testing. If it is not within the range, repeat the cleaning steps or replace the consumable filter cartridge.
Once the RO reverse osmosis water quality meets the standards, take ultrapure water and test it using an online conductivity meter or observe the water quality on the display screen to see if it meets the standards.
If the water quality consistently fails to meet standards, you can activate the internal circulation mode (a feature available on some models) or replace consumables to prevent substandard water quality from interfering with experimental data. If the water quality still does not reach the normal operating range after the above steps, please contact a UPU professional technical service engineer for equipment maintenance.
