    If RO equipment is used, the following issues need attention:


    1. Is the reverse osmosis membrane clogged?


    2. Has the reverse osmosis membrane been used for too long (12-24 months)?


    3. Is the reverse osmosis membrane contaminated?


    4. Is the reverse osmosis membrane housing damaged, or are the end caps broken?


    5. Inspect the pretreatment section.


    6. Has there been a significant change in the raw water quality, such as a substantial increase in raw water conductivity?


    If using ion exchange equipment, the following issues need to be considered:


    1. Has the resin been used for too long? Generally, it should be between 12 and 24 months.


    2. Are there any improper operations during resin reduction and regeneration? This includes the quality of the hydrochloric acid and caustic soda flakes. Generally, 30% effective hydrochloric acid and 95% effective caustic soda flakes are used for dilution. Is the amount of acid and alkali absorbed during reduction and regeneration sufficient? The absorption rate should not be too fast; it should be maintained at 45 to 60 minutes. Sufficient soaking is required after acid and alkali absorption. Is rinsing thorough enough?


    3. Are there any problems with the pretreatment section? In particular, has activated carbon powder leaked into the resin tank, causing resin contamination?


    4. Is the resin quantity insufficient? Generally, the anion and cation resins should each fill 60%-80% of the resin tank. For small multi-bed equipment, the anion resin should be 30%-50% more than the cation resin.
