Recently, a large number of new national standards have officially come into effect. These new regulations were issued by the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine of the People's Republic of China and the Standardization Administration of China on October 13, 2016, and officially implemented on May 1, 2017.
Among them, the new national standard relevant to our industry (GB/T 33087-2016 Specifications and Test Methods for High-Purity Water for Instrumental Analysis) was drafted according to the rules given in GB/T 1.1-2009, proposed by the China Petroleum and Chemical Industry Federation, and drafted by the National Institute of Metrology of China, among others.
Prior to the implementation of this high-purity water standard, the domestic pure water-related standard system mainly consisted of GB/T 6682 and the 2015 edition of the Chinese Pharmacopoeia. GB/T 6682-2008 Specifications and Test Methods for Water Used in Analytical Laboratories mainly specified the grade, specifications, sampling and storage, and test methods of water used in analytical laboratories; the 2015 edition of the Chinese Pharmacopoeia made standard provisions for water used for different purposes, such as purified water, water for injection, sterile water for injection, and drinking water. The testing indicators and methods of "GB/T 33087-2016 High Purity Water for Instrumental Analysis" represent a certain level of technological advancement and forward-looking development in high purity water, filling the gap in domestic high purity water standards and pioneering a new era of high purity water standards. The document then provides an interpretation of "GB/T 33087 High Purity Water for Instrumental Analysis" in terms of indicators such as resistivity, total organic carbon, sodium, chlorine, and silicon.
