    Insufficient Tap Water Pressure (Most Common)


    1. Fault Principle: Laboratory ultrapure water systems are designed to maintain a raw water pressure of 0.10-0.40 MPa. Below 0.1 MPa, the water flow cannot meet the equipment's operational requirements, triggering the water shortage protection.


    2. Quick Troubleshooting: Open the tap corresponding to the equipment's inlet and observe if the water flow is weak; or measure the inlet pressure with a pressure gauge.


    3. Solution: Check if the main tap water valve is fully open and if the inlet pipe is being squeezed by heavy objects; if the water pressure is consistently low, it is recommended to install a booster pump (compatible models are available from UPU); avoid using the equipment during peak water usage periods.


    Pretreatment System Blockage


    1. Fault Principle: Pretreatment filter cartridges (commonly PP, activated carbon) are the first line of defense in raw water purification. Long-term use can lead to the accumulation of rust, sediment, and other impurities, obstructing water flow.


    2. Fault Principle: After turning off the power, check if the filter cartridge is blackened or has a large amount of impurities attached to its surface.


    3. Solution: Replace the pretreatment filter cartridge (recommended every 3-6 months, shorten to 1-3 months in areas with poor water quality); after replacement, flush the pipeline for 3-5 minutes before turning on the machine to prevent residual impurities from entering the main unit.


    Raw Water Solenoid Valve Not Open


    1. Fault Principle: The raw water solenoid valve controls the water inlet passage. It opens when energized and closes to prevent backflow when de-energized. A malfunction will prevent water from entering the equipment.


    2. Fault Principle: After energizing, approach the solenoid valve and listen for a clicking sound (a sound indicates normal power supply; no sound may indicate a power supply fault).


    3. Solution: If there is a clicking sound but no water, turn off the power and disassemble the solenoid valve to clean the valve core (it may be stuck with impurities); if there is no clicking sound, please contact UPU after-sales service to check the power module or replace the solenoid valve (free replacement within the warranty period).

    1. Water Shortage Protection Sensor Failure: Scale buildup or damage to the sensor probe can cause false alarms. Clean the scale from the probe surface; if the alarm persists, replace the sensor.


    2. Piping Issues: Bent inlet pipes, clogged filters, or leaks in internal pipes require checking the pipe flow section by section.


    3. Control System Malfunction: Incorrect PLC controller parameters or motherboard failure. Reset the equipment by restarting; if this is ineffective, contact after-sales service for remote diagnostics.
