To start up a long-dormant ultrapure water system, follow these steps to ensure water quality and extend equipment life:
I. Pre-Start Inspection
Environment and Power Supply: Ensure the equipment is placed in a well-ventilated and dry location (15-25℃ is optimal). Ensure the power plug is properly grounded and undamaged.
Water Source and Piping: Open the inlet ball valve and check the piping for cracks and leaks. Maintain an inlet water pressure of 0.2-0.4 MPa.
Consumables Inspection: Inspect the pretreatment filter and RO membrane. If they have been idle for more than 3 months or are yellowed, replace them.
II. Start-up Procedure
Water and Air Purging: First, open the inlet valve and let water flow for 10-20 seconds to purge air from the piping, then connect the power supply.
Pipeline Flushing: After starting the equipment, flush out pure water and ultrapure water for 5 minutes each to remove residual water and microorganisms.
Water Production and Circulation: Allow the equipment to automatically produce water until the tank is full, then flush once more to complete system circulation activation. III. Water Quality Verification
Observe the conductivity displayed on the screen: RO pure water ≤ 5 μS/cm, ultrapure water needs to reach 18.2 MΩ・cm (25℃). If the value exceeds the standard, replace the purification column or RO membrane promptly.
IV. Maintenance Tips
If idle for more than 5 days in summer and more than 10 days in winter, regularly drain 2-3 liters of water. Thereafter, check consumables every 6 months and replace them according to water consumption.
