What Is the Typical Capacity of a Laboratory Ultrapure Water System?

We often hear users ask us questions like, "What's the capacity of your ultrapure water system? How much water does it produce per day? Is it enough for our needs?" Here's a brief explanation:

Strictly speaking, we don't usually talk about the capacity of an ultrapure water system; we usually talk about the output water volume. Output water volume differs between countertop and floor-standing models. Countertop models typically have an output of 5 to 20 liters per hour, with a standard 40-liter PE pure water tank. Floor-standing models typically have an output of 20 to 100 liters per hour, with a standard 80-liter PE pure water tank.

The minimum output water volume is generally 5 liters per hour, but larger models can be made up to 100 liters per hour.

If a larger volume is needed, we can also make a project-grade unit. Of course, project-grade units are more expensive than standard units.

As for capacity, which refers to the water tank capacity, the tank size needs to be considered in conjunction with peak water usage and the ultrapure water production capacity of the system.
