The 13th Five-Year Plan for Advanced Manufacturing Technology Has Been Released, With Domestically Produced Instruments Receiving Key Support

On May 2nd, the Ministry of Science and Technology issued the "Notice on Issuing the Special Plan for Technological Innovation in the Advanced Manufacturing Technology Field during the 13th Five-Year Plan Period."

In recent years, my country's manufacturing industry has become the world's largest in terms of overall scale and its comprehensive strength has continuously increased, making it a veritable manufacturing powerhouse. It has not only made breakthroughs in a number of core technologies and developed a series of major equipment products supporting national economic development, but also seen the emergence of a number of world-class large enterprises. Enterprises are gradually becoming the main drivers of technological innovation, and a preliminary industrial innovation system linking enterprises, universities, and research institutes has been formed.

At the same time, my country's manufacturing industry still faces problems such as weak independent innovation capabilities, weak basic capabilities, low product quality, low resource utilization efficiency, and low integration between manufacturing and emerging information technologies such as the Internet. In response to the technological innovation needs of my country's manufacturing industry, during the 13th Five-Year Plan period, the advanced manufacturing field will focus on four levels—system integration, intelligent equipment, manufacturing foundation, and advanced manufacturing technological innovation demonstration projects—and will carry out key tasks in 13 main directions. Projects related to the development of the domestic instrumentation industry will also receive key support.
