On May 8th, the Standardization Administration of China (SAC) released the second batch of national standards free of charge through the "National Standards Full-Text Disclosure System." This batch, primarily consisting of methodological recommendation standards, comprises 11,975 items. Combined with the 9,194 national standards initially released free of charge, a total of 21,169 national standards are now publicly available, accounting for approximately two-thirds of all national standards.
The "National Standards Full-Text Disclosure System," launched by the SAC in March of this year, has garnered significant attention from enterprises and the public. As of May 7th, after 52 days online, the system had received 861,000 visitors, 7.212 million page views, over 266,000 online readings of standards, and over 151,000 downloads.
To further implement the "Implementation Plan for Promoting the Disclosure of National Standards" and meet the urgent needs of enterprises and society for standard texts, this batch of free methodological national standards includes 6,630 non-adoption standards providing bibliographic information and online text reading, and 5,345 adoption standards providing only bibliographic information.
The next step will be to release other recommended national standards in two batches before the end of 2017. At that time, the National Standardization Administration will make all non-adopted recommended national standards freely available to the public.
