Recently, UPP's technical engineering department has received many customer requests for guidance on operating and using ultrapure water systems. In fact, to ensure a long-term, stable supply of standard ultrapure water, proper maintenance and correct operation are essential. To address the frequently asked questions from customers, today we will introduce the usage methods and precautions for UPP ultrapure water systems, as follows:
I. Visual Inspection
When using a new UPP ultrapure water system, the first step is to inspect its appearance for any dents, severe deformation, or other abnormalities.
II. Power Connection
Plug the main unit's power cord into a power source, ensuring the power supply has a ground wire. If there is no ground wire, ground the main unit separately. When using a power strip, it is best to use a waterproof socket or keep the power strip away from areas where water may splash.
III. Trial Run
Before using the ultrapure water system, conduct a trial run. Turn on the water inlet and wait for the ultrapure water system to start operating. If the system produces water after a few seconds, the equipment is functioning normally and can be used.
IV. Operation of the Ultrapure Water System
After startup, the ultrapure water system will begin normal operation and water production. At this time, we only need to pay attention to the changes in various data and the equipment status. If everything is within the normal range, continue normal operation of the machine. If abnormal data or machine malfunction occurs, it is necessary to shut down the machine for inspection or contact after-sales personnel for troubleshooting.
V. Correct Sampling of Purified Water
① For sampling bottles used for anion, cation, and particle analysis, before formal sampling, pour out the water in the bottle and rinse it with ultrapure water at least 10 times. Then, fill the bottle with 350-400mL of ultrapure water at once and seal it tightly with a cap that has been rinsed with pure water. Seal the bottle tightly with a clean plastic bag.
② For sampling bottles used for bacterial and TOC analysis, before formal sampling, pour out the water in the bottle, immediately fill the sampling bottle with ultrapure water, and immediately seal it tightly with a sterilized cap. Seal the bottle tightly with a clean plastic bag.
The above is an introduction to the correct use of the UPU ultrapure water machine and precautions. It should be noted that the water production of the ultrapure water machine is affected by the water temperature. Lower temperatures will lead to a decrease in water production, and when the temperature drops to a certain level, water production will stop. Therefore, when using and ordering the product, we must consider the water temperature in different seasons in our region.
