Market Monthly Report | Imports Impacted the Pure Water Equipment Market in November, Customs Demand Remained Strong

Driven by the "two new" policies (new infrastructure and new urbanization), the pure water market experienced a mini-boom in October, and this trend continued into November, with customs agencies, university laboratories, and research institutions demonstrating strong purchasing enthusiasm.

According to incomplete statistics, there were 105 pure water equipment bidding projects on the China Government Procurement Network in November. Excluding projects with incomplete information disclosure, the total number of transactions reached 1137 sets/units. Among these, excluding unidentifiable products, 125 sets/units of pure water equipment had traceable brands and prices, with a total winning bid amount of 12,255,610 yuan and an average unit price of 98,000 yuan.

Although the total winning bid amount and average winning bid price decreased compared to October, the fluctuations are within the normal range, and overall, it remains within the peak purchasing period of the year. Furthermore, compared to October, the purchasing demand from medical and health units and universities and educational institutions has further increased. However, in terms of specific purchasing units, customs remained the main force in procurement this month.

In November, the purchase quantity of products priced over 100,000 yuan was 32 units/sets. In terms of brand distribution, a total of 53 brands (based on publicly available data) completed transactions for pure water equipment in November.

Regarding the purchasing entities of pure water equipment: Medical and health institutions, universities and educational institutions, and government agencies all had high purchasing demand, while customs agencies still had a large purchasing volume.

Combining the data on "the percentage of pure water equipment purchased by different types of entities in November 2025," "the percentage of pure water equipment purchased by different types of entities in November 2025," and "the overall bidding situation for pure water equipment in November 2025," medical and health institutions purchased the most pure water equipment, reaching 45 sets/units. According to incomplete statistics, in November, medical and health institutions purchased 45 sets/units of pure water equipment, accounting for 36.00% of the total purchases, with a total purchase amount of 3.3244 million yuan, representing 27.13% of the total winning bid amount; universities and educational institutions purchased 40 sets/units, accounting for 32.00% of the total purchases, with a total purchase amount of 3.8601 million yuan, representing 31.50% of the total winning bid amount; research institutions purchased 7 sets/units, accounting for 5.60% of the total purchases, with a purchase amount of 1.4843 million yuan, representing 12.11% of the total winning bid amount; government agencies purchased 31 sets/units, accounting for 24.80% of the total purchases, with a purchase amount of 3.4048 million yuan, representing 27.78% of the total winning bid amount; other types of units purchased 2 sets/units, accounting for 1.60% of the total purchases, with a purchase amount of 182,000 yuan, representing 1.36% of the total winning bid amount.

From the perspective of production location: Imports of pure water equipment intensified in November, with the high-end market dominated by imports.

Looking at the data on "the proportion of pure water equipment purchased by each production location in November" and "the proportion of pure water equipment purchased by each production location in November," domestically produced pure water equipment has a higher market share in both quantity and total price. However, the average price of imported brands is significantly higher than that of domestic brands.

In November, the quantity of domestically produced pure water machines was 103 sets/units, with a total value of 6,388,160 yuan and an average price of 62,000 yuan per set/unit; the quantity of imported pure water machines was 22 sets/units, with a total value of 5,867,450 yuan and an average price of 266,700 yuan per set/unit.
