Market Monthly Report | Strong Customs Procurement Demand Leads to Mini-Peak in Pure Water Equipment Market in October

"New infrastructure and new energy" have been key focuses of my country's economic work in the past two years. With the continued implementation of a new round of policies promoting large-scale equipment upgrades and trade-ins of consumer goods, the vitality of core industries has been fully unleashed, with upgrades in instruments, laboratory equipment, and large industrial equipment proceeding at a rapid pace. This wave has also impacted the procurement efforts of departments including customs, university laboratories, and research institutions. Under the influence of the "new infrastructure and new energy" policies, the bidding market for instruments and equipment has also ushered in a new peak period. Pure water equipment, as commonly used laboratory equipment, has also demonstrated significant market vitality under this wave.

Based on a compilation of winning bids for pure water equipment on the China Government Procurement Network in October 2025, an incomplete count reveals 93 winning bids for pure water equipment. Excluding projects with incompletely disclosed information, a total of 137 units/sets were transacted. Of these, excluding unidentifiable products, 124 units/sets had traceable brands and prices, with a total winning bid amount of 13,170,180 yuan and an average unit price of 106,200 yuan.

Entering the second half of the year, the pure water procurement market gradually stabilized, with slight fluctuations in average procurement prices and a slight increase in total winning bid amount. This month, influenced by two new policies, customs units had a high demand for pure water equipment, and government agencies became the core procurement units this month.

The number of units/sets purchased in October exceeding 100,000 yuan was 50. In terms of brand distribution, 40 brands (with publicly available data) completed pure water equipment transactions in October.

Ranked by unit transaction price, Ulupure UPR-II-15TNZP ranked third in terms of unit price in October.

Regarding the purchasing units of pure water equipment: government agencies were the core purchasing units this month, with customs agencies showing particularly strong demand.

Combining the data on "the percentage of pure water equipment purchased by different types of units in October 2025," "the percentage of pure water equipment purchased by different types of units in October 2025," and "the overall bidding situation for pure water equipment in October 2025," government agencies purchased the largest number of pure water equipment units, reaching 57 sets/units, and the total purchase amount was significantly higher than other types of purchasing units. Customs agencies accounted for as many as 45 sets/units. Information such as the project names and detailed purchase requirements suggests that a significant reason for this is the continued implementation of the "two new" policies (new infrastructure and new urbanization).

According to incomplete statistics, in October, medical and health institutions purchased 32 sets/units of pure water equipment, accounting for 25.81% of the total purchase quantity and amounting to 3,153,472 yuan, representing 23.94% of the total winning bid amount; universities and educational institutions purchased 29 sets/units, accounting for 23.39% of the total purchase quantity and amounting to 2,929,100 yuan, representing 22.24% of the total winning bid amount; research institutions purchased 4 sets/units, accounting for 3.23% of the total purchase quantity and amounting to 175,700 yuan, representing 1.33% of the total winning bid amount; government agencies purchased 57 sets/units, accounting for 45.97% of the total purchase quantity and amounting to 6,732,700 yuan, representing 51.12% of the total winning bid amount; other types of units purchased 2 sets/units, accounting for 1.61% of the total purchase quantity and amounting to 179,300 yuan, representing 1.36% of the total winning bid amount.

From the perspective of production location: October saw an impact from imports on the pure water equipment market, while domestic products further strengthened their position and captured the majority of the market.

Looking at the data on "the proportion of pure water equipment purchased by each production location in October" and "the proportion of pure water equipment purchased by each production location in October," domestic pure water equipment had a higher market share in both quantity and total price, and domestic equipment manufacturers are beginning to further strengthen their position.

In October, the quantity of domestically produced pure water machines was 101 sets/units, with a total value of 10,302,880 yuan and an average price of 102,000 yuan per set/unit; the quantity of imported pure water machines was 23 sets/units, with a total value of 2,867,300 yuan and an average price of 124,700 yuan per set/unit.
